*Character Canon: Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL
*Age: 20
*Race: human
*Timeline/Pull Point: Near the end of Episode 56 -- V has just lost his duel with Kaito and is still kind of lying on the ground, contemplating his place in the universe

*History: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/V#Biography
*Personality:
V is the calmest, most stable member of the Tron family, to the point where he often seems cold and aloof, especially around people who aren't family. He's always been considerably calmer than his brothers, but most of the coldness showed up after Dr. Faker attempted to murder their father and he vowed revenge on the man. He also tends to be the most rational and logical out of the three brothers, following in his father's footsteps of seeing the world through a scientist's eyes and acting upon what's in his head more often than what's in his heart. This is most obvious at the end of his duel with Kaito; even though he desperately wants to win and feels he has to win, when it becomes obvious that there's nothing he can do to win, he accepts his defeat quietly and calmly.

His aloofness even reflects itself in his deck. V plays a Burn deck, which means a lot of cards the just inflict damage on the opponent and not a lot of monsters attacking, and a lot of cards to prevent the opponent's attacks from getting through. Even his Numbers card is a card that allows nothing to et near it and inflicts damage through effects rather than attacks. Like his deck, he doesn't like to allow anyone outside his family to get close to him so he won't be hurt by them later, and he tends to direct Tron's plans from behind the scenes, rather than going out and causing trouble himself.

However, under the aloofness and rationality is an extremely passionate, driven, angry young man who practically had entire world destroyed, first when he thought his father had been killed, and then when his father came back as a hateful little eight-year-old who was only vaguely similar to how he'd been before. V was there on the trip where his father was "killed", and he was undoubtedly the closest to his father, so his "death" struck V the hardest. His actions from then on were motivated almost entirely by thoughts of revenge and hatred. He even threw away a close friendship that meant a great deal to him because he found out the boy he was friends with (Kaito) was Faker's son and he couldn't stand to be near him anymore.

V also has a bit of an ego and a ridiculous amount of pride. He often mocks his opponents for thinking they could possible be a challenge or for being a waste of time during duels, and he seems to enjoy proving that he's better than them. He is a fairly good duelist, so it isn't entirely unfounded, but it does also make him seem more his age. When another duelist does manage to land a blow on him, he practically goes into a rage and all his rational, non-emotional thinking goes out the window. He's easily talked out of it again, but the potential is there.

Most importantly, though, is that V is fiercely loyal to his family, especially his father. All of the brothers are, really, but V is the only one of the three who has never wavered. He's absolutely devoted to Tron and does whatever he asks without question. The one thing guaranteed to piss him off other than an affront to himself is an affront to Tron, even if it's as simple as his brother talking back a bit. His anger and need for revenge are a direct result of be so devoted to his father.

He truly cares about his brothers too, although he does care for III a little more, because he's the youngest and not nearly as obnoxious as IV. When Tron gives an extremely dangerous card to III to help him win a duel, V is obviously concerned about it. He keeps his feelings about his brothers much closer to his chest than his feelings about Tron, however. And he is a bit more distance from them than they are from each other, because of time spent apart and he tended to hang out with his father a little more while he was still the right age.

He also still cares about Kaito because he does see Kaito as like a brother to him even with all the hatred and anger directed at him for being Faker's son. Bonds like that don't just go away. This mostly manifests as him beating the crap out of Kaito in a duel to get him out of the tournament and also to get him out of his duties of hunting Numbers and taking care of Haruto, so he won't have to suffer any more.

At the point he's coming from, however, V was just about to decide to hand over his quest for revenge to Kaito and then go faint on a bed next to III, so he won't be quite as angry a person in general as he might be otherwise. he actually does have a potential for some warmth among the aloof coldness, so once he gets over his initial unsurety of what to do from there he'll be...well, pretty much the same, but if any castmates show up hahaha, this part would be important.

*Powers/Abilities:
Powers
The Crest - all members of the Tron/Arclight family have a glowing crest on their bodies which seem to give them Numbers-related Immunities and also Teleportation. V's crest appears on his forehead and glows blue when it's activated.

Numbers-related Immunities - Usually, the Numbers will corrupt the person in possession of them, amplifying their desires, usually the darker ones, and encouraging them to act on them. They also often cause a person to desire even more Numbers cards, and they make their possessor try to summon them as quickly as possible. The Crests, however, prevent the Numbers from influencing their owners at all. It's implied that using the Numbers weakens the Arclights, but V's duel with Kaito is so short that it's hard to tell whether using No. 9 affected him at all. Considering he has more powers than his brothers to begin with and seems fine the whole time, I'm gonna say doesn't really affect him much.

The Crests also prevent the Numbers from being taken from their owners at the end of a duel, and because the Numbers tend to latch onto a person through their soul, the Crest also prevents the owner's soul from being taken.

Teleportation -- The Arclights seem to be able to teleport a couple ways: first, by simply disappearing in one place and reappearing in another, and second, with what seems to be a very small wormhole. The wormhole appears either behind or under the Crest owner and they de-materialize into the event horizon and then re-materialize in front of another event horizon on the other side.

Telekinesis -- Pretty much what it sounds like. V can move things with his mind. When he's using this power, not only does his Crest glow, but so does he and whatever it is he's moving around.

Mind-control -- Also pretty much what it sounds like! He does seem to only be able to control people for short periods of time, maybe ten minutes at the most, and it's easier if that person is already somewhat inclined to do whatever it is he wants them to.

D-Gazer Tattoo - The D-Gazers are part of ZeXal's new way of dueling--instead of using holograms like in previous series, the D-Gazers wirelessly connect to each other to create a world of artificial reality overlaying the real world, and this is where duels take place. The duelists' duel disks relay the duel information to the D-Gazers, which then show the duel pretty much the same way the holograms did, but with slightly more "interaction" with the real world.

The Arclight family doesn't use regular D-Gazers. Instead, in the case of III, IV, and V, they have a tattoo which forms around the left eye and turns that iris a different color, as if it was covered by colored glass. The tattoos are able to connect with the AR network and other D-Gazers just like any other D-Gazer.

Skills

V assisted his father and Dr. Faker in their search for other dimensions when he was about 15, so he's pretty damn intelligent and has at least a passing knowledge of theoretical physics and applied physics (and seeing as his deck is space-themed, he probably has some interest in/knowledge of astrophysics as well). He also has some amount of programming knowledge/advanced computer skills--the world of Zexal is more advanced technologically than ours and has holograms and integrated artificial reality and V is able to manipulate both with ease.

He can also pilot a helicopter.

And he's also a top-tier duelist! Which basically amounts to being a good strategist.

*Inventory:
Duel Disk - Duel disks are devices that strap onto your arm and allow you to play Duel Monster with someone else in a bit more of an elaborate fashion than simply playing on a table. Unlike the other three series, the duel disks in Zexal do not produce holograms, but rather link up to D-Gazers and show the duel through AR. When not in use, their duel disks collapse for easy storage. V's duel disk is fairly stylized compared to the standard model.
Duel Monsters Deck (which includes No. 9: Canopy Star - Dyson Sphere) - known cards are listed here
Duel Coaster Car - So, V was in the middle of a tournament arc. And this particular part of the tournament had duelists riding around on what was essentially a gigantic, elaborate roller coaster in individual cars to duel other people and literally knock them out of the tournament.
Each car has two seats, although they were apparently only designed for one person, and at least the driver's seat is able to be ejected. They also have an advanced computer system connected to all the other cars as well as a central location, which allows a duelist to see what the tracks looks like, where the other cars are, and keep track of their duels. They are also, likely, patched into the general AR network.

Regarding the duel disk and duel coaster car: there is pretty much no indication of what these things run on at all, although it's probably not gas in either case. I'm going to say it's probably long-lasting batteries that are generally charged just by being used in Heartland. V's priority with both will be finding a way to charge them, so he won't be using them much until then.

*Starting Polarity: I...am honestly leaning the most toward either Prima or Alpha Trion, but I'm really not sure, so I think I'll leave it to you guys?

[Anyone who's gotten to know V in the last few months should be able to tell that right now? He is mad. He's hiding it well, but oh. Is he mad. When he speaks, his voice is almost too calm.]

It would seem that my idiot brother has gotten himself lost. We made arrangements for him to come live with me, but he never showed up and I haven't heard from him for several days now.

[Pause. There's no way anyone could have missed IV's arrival, but in case there was someone who had...]

IV is nearly a head shorter than myself and has red hair with yellow fringe and clothes similar to mine. And he will undoubtedly be the loudest thing in the area. If any of you happen upon him, feel free to step on him.

[This is said with a pointed glance at the camera. IV, if you're watching, this is not funny.]

Alternatively, if you could inform me of his whereabouts, I'll come and retrieve him instead. I suppose that option would be slightly less messy.

[Another pause and a small sigh, and V looks directly at the camera again, this time looking slightly more frustrated than angry.]

IV, this is ridiculous. How long do you expect to avoid me?

*Third Person Sample:
V woke slowly, allowing the rest of his senses to pick up on the world around him before trying to open his eyes. It was odd...he didn't remember falling unconscious. Kaito's attack must have hit him harder than he'd thought. He truly had become the strong duelist he'd wished to be...

"Kaito..."

It was far too quiet. If he'd really been unconscious, someone who have been trying to wake him up. And even if they weren't, Kazuma's son never seemed to be able to stay to silent for longer than half a minute. He'd be making noise, even if they others were quiet.

V opened his eyes to find stars still glittering back at him. He frowned up at them--shouldn't the duel field have dissipated already?--but no, it wasn't the same sky from Cosmic Frontier. It wasn't the regular sky either; the stars were in all the wrong places and there were two moons...another field spell, maybe?

It was still too quiet.

He carefully sat up and looked around, growing steadily more and more uneasy. The world around him was as unfamiliar was the sky, rocky and barren and obviously just another field spell, what else could it be? Although why another field spell had been activated, he couldn't imagine; his and Kaito's duel was over, and this place didn't match the description of any of the other duel areas. And there was no one else around. Kaito, Yuma, the girl...they'd all disappeared. How long had he been unconscious...?

"Kaito?"

Silence.

He cautiously got to his feet and closed his eyes, will his D-Gazer to turn off. If this was just AR Vision, it would be gone when he opened his eyes again. He could start to search for them once he could see where the doors were.

But the scene was still there when he opened his eyes, and the others still weren't anywhere to be seen.

"Kaito?!" he called out again. "Yuma! Kaito!"

Nothing. He really was completely alone here, wherever here was.

Time for plan B, then. He reached for the power Tron had given him and tried to open a portal back home. He would have had to go back soon anyway, since he was out of the tournament. He'd been hoping to speak to Kaito just a little longer before heading back, but it seemed that was no longer an option.

He felt the familiar swell of power and then...nothing. Again. he felt his lips curl back in a sneer for a moment. What the hell was going on here? He should have been able to open a portal back home from anywhere on the planet.

He glanced up at the sky again, taking in the two moons. He should have been able to open a portal back home from anywhere on Earth. If this was another planet...

But how could it be? Had this happened because he'd lost a duel while using the Numbers? He would have expected to be sent to another dimension in that case, but nothing like this had happened to III, so he'd completely put the possibly out of his mind.

III...III needed him, and Tron needed him, and he couldn't get home...he shut his eyes and gritted his teeth for a moment to force himself to calm down again. He wouldn't get anywhere by acting like IV, so he didn't need to start. He could figure this out; there had to be an explanation for this. He couldn't even be sure yet that he was on another planet and this whole thing wasn't just his power acting up because he'd lost the duel.

He took in a deep breath, picked the direction that seemed least rocky, and started walking. He definitely wouldn't figure anything out by just standing around. What was it that Mr. Kazuma had said, that of course they would miss things if they were just sitting around? That advice had been correct then, and it was correct now. He was going to go find the answers and he was going to find a way home and he would have to do it himself.
