From what I gathered, it didn't go beyond talking, but whatever Vector said shook Michael pretty badly.
[Emotional-breakdown-badly, and having spent his evening on first prying the story out of Michael and then comforting him to the best of his ability, Thomas isn't inclined to use polite descriptions for that Barian.
And in any case, what worries him most at this point...]
Not that it stopped Michael from challenging him to a duel.
[Well that's...not good, but that's not as bad as it could have been. Michael is strong, he can bounce back from something like that.
That is not good, what on earth was his brother thinking. Even if they had their decks, they know hardly anything about Vector's or how he plays, and they certainly don't know what skills he might have for other forms of dueling.
If Michael's really serious about it, though, there's not a lot they can do to stop him...and it might be better to challenge Vector here where he shouldn't be able to do much damage if any of them challenge him at all.
Chris's reply takes a few minutes this time.]
Well, he won't be going through with that alone.
Is he all right? Do you want me to come over?

[Michael is serious about it even though he isn't entirely sure what kind of duel he's actually challenged and figuring that out before he actually goes to meet Vector is one of the stipulations that Thomas has set down for this - and hopefully Michael has understood that that's not negotiable. Neither is the part where he's not going alone.]
That's what I told him too.
He's asleep now.
[Which really is all answer he can give to that, because Michael clearly hadn't been all right before, but he would probably be better by the morning at least.
As for that second question... well, the short answer would maybe probably be 'yes', because seeing Michael so upset, being unable to do anything to change that, having to nudge him along into seeking physical comfort when Michael is the most tactile out of them and usually unafraid and unashamed of going to Thomas (likely because he knows he'll always comply no matter how reluctant he pretends to be) and the implications of that have left him drained and tired and irritated and restless all at once instead. He's not really craving reassurance (or maybe he is, just a little), but it would be nice to be able to actually talk face to face rather than text, to be able to figure out a way how to deal with Vector that will make stick just how bad an idea it is to mess with their family, to just talk in generally maybe.
It's a multitude of reasons that make him hesitate to admit it outright though - it's not that he doesn't trust Chris, or that he fears that they might end up again where they've been for the better part of two years until a few months ago, but the idea that he can seek out Chris, that he can go to him for support, that he could probably go up to him and hug him and it wouldn't be strange at all (except that he still has his pride, and it's not like he is the one that's been hurt, so what the hell does he need reassurance for) is still a bit new, and though he knows that Chris won't complain about having to make the trip, there is maybe a tiny bit of reluctance to actually ask it of him.
The actual reply he sends is sort of a compromise, he supposes, and maybe hopefully Chris will be able read out of it what he really wants as oppose to what he's saying.]
[Luckily, Chris has been learning how to speak Thomas since the WDC--well, relearning, but there was always going to be something new to learn after everything that had happened and how it had affected all of them. And if Thomas absolutely didn't want him coming over, he would have said so, especially since Michael is asleep so he doesn't absolutely need to.
Thomas being concerned enough to tell him about this is reason enough to go, though, to check up on both of them, and he does want to go and see how they are and spend some time with them...well, with Thomas. So hopefully he picked up on the right message here because Thomas doesn't really have a choice anymore; Chris is going to show up on his doorstep whether he likes it or not.]
Don't fall asleep on me.
[And with that he tucks away his phone, goes to let Kaito know where he's going and to grab a few things from their room, and then off he goes. About twenty minutes after that text, there's a knock on 1499's front door, and Chris will be standing on the other side of the door with a small pile of clothes, blanket, and pillow tucked under his arm.]
